Sound effects are almost perfect! I like the gentle whispering sound of the voice actor. He might be a sexy man! Unfortunately, I couldn't get much from what he's trying to say in the tapes because of the noisy background and I am not a native English speaker.

Graphics are good. I was a little shocked, but not scared by occasional "jump scares". The bodies hanging from the ceiling look like aliens rather than humans. Their eyeballs should have popped out. When I checked under a bed, I expected to find something really scary! But, I only found something ordinary.

Game play is straightforward. I enjoyed solving the three puzzles with clues available on the notes and walls. Also, I had no problem finding all crystals and spheres. Poking a spongy head seems naughty and unnecessary unless there is something hidden inside. Ending is a little creepy. I wasn't sure if the evil souls had consumed me or what.

Keep poking the head ;-)

What an interesting adventure for three pandas in Japan!

This game requires logical thinking and patience to solve simple tasks in order to pass each level. The most challenging level is one dealing with four gangsters with guns. One has to use sushi rolls to shoot some lanterns hanging at the ceiling which fall and hit the gangsters causing them to faint. Another tricky level is gathering weapons for a monk because you have disturbed him at rest.

Graphics are pleasant to look at and music is very relaxing. c:

Thanks for sharing what you love in our game! We are glad you like it!

There are over 40 rooms for exploration. It's okay to draw your map and take notes. I have only solved one puzzle and decided to give up after watching the first few minutes of a walk through video.

First, any spot on a scene is clickable. Therefore, there's no way to find out whether you have missed something or not. It can take a lot of time to use a tool in a scene (e.g., digging in the graveyard and checking loose tiles). Second, some items including crystals just blend in so well with the background and are hard to spot (e.g., a screwdriver). Also, I had no idea where I could use the wooden pegs and a cog. Third, it is easy to miss a knob in a shower room that opens a secret pathway to the underground. I didn't know about it until I read the walk through comments. Last but not the least, I found the file information in the cabinet overwhelming other than being able to pick out two entrance codes. Journal entries, in contrast, are interesting for reading.

Overall, the game isn't well designed although Selfdefiant might have put in a lot of effort in setting the crystals, ordering the scenes, and adding some hard puzzles for us.

I have to disagree with you on this one. It is one of my best games period. I only changed the cursor to not always be on for my recent games because I wanted to make them easier. People have told me many, many times that this game is their favorite. I put a lot more time and thought into this game and it has an actual story to go along with it. If it's too hard for you, then it's just you. Avid escape gamers from all over have told me this one is too easy. I realize that not everyone has the same difficulty level of experience. Have you ever played the Myst games? They are hard, they leave you almost no clues or hints. If you can't make it through this, I highly doubt you would stand a chance on them.

The introductory movie is rather laggy or slow.

Travelling with an amazing grandpa isn't easy. He made me work a lot. When I came back to him with six sticks, he had already built us a phenomenal shelter. This made me laugh a little. Also, I wanted to share with him some banana, but the game didn't allow me.

selfdefiant responds:

Thanks!

It's a "click-and-see what's inside one's computer" game. Pointless to continue. :/

You found the point of this sim. Congratulations , you won the internet. ._.

I like the use of a lantern to reveal items in the dark and a magic wand to remove a strange dark mist.

Tools are easy to spot. However, I had to use the walk through from the beginning as I couldn't find the place which hid an orbit container. Hint : behind a wooden board in a TV room.

Puzzles are hard to solve with vague clues. I was only able to solve the triangle 1-2-3-4 puzzle and put back 12 beautiful gems. There was no hint on the pool table that we had to rearrange the balls according to the seven numbers in the TV room. Also, I couldn't comprehend the black square note at all and translate it into numbers for a code box.

selfdefiant responds:

Yes, this one is a tough one. Still not as hard as most people would like it to be.

Most medals were easy to unlock by point-and-click or solving easy puzzles. Level nine did required some thinking. The arrows were coloured for a reason. Hint: alphabetical sequence.

Level 10 was my favourite among all although the Roman numerals were hard to read in small font size. c:

selfdefiant responds:

Thanks, my monitors are large. I should consider that I suppose. :)

I was really glad that there was no orbit or gem to collect. Instead, I had to assemble a bracelet's missing parts. C:

Graphics were alright with occasional scary images. Most items weren't hard to find, except the crowbar and the torch. I reckon they should be recoloured such that they didn't blend into the background.

Puzzles were easy to solve as I had played many other games of Selfdefiant.

selfdefiant responds:

Thanks!!

The corridor and toilets reminded me of the Amazing Escape the School game. The music sounded familiar, too. There were only two locks to solve and four coins to find. To me, it's a short and easy episode. A bag of soil was found and left unused.

In the next episode, I might need to crack the password of the computer or find a wrench to turn on the water taps.

And yea, the fourth badge didn't work for me.

selfdefiant responds:

Thanks, the badge should work now.

Graphic was alright. Occasional creepy ghost scenes made me want to leave the place ASAP. Some objects were well hidden and required eagle eyes (or the walk through) to find them. Hint: walk slowly and pay attention to two tiny sparkling spots on the wall. The yellow snake pointed to another item that provided the fuel for the lighter.

Most puzzles were of appropriate difficulty. I had to google the moon eclipse before I solved the last puzzle.

The arrows somehow helped direct the character, but they didn't look good with the graphics.

Thanks for the review. Always looking for ways to make a better game. The 3D camera effect was experimental so I hope people liked it.
