I knew a magnifying glass and some fuel were related to the evil idea of setting a fire. However, I couldn't spot the nail until I read QuasiSnake's comment.

A simple game in which you had to solve puzzles and collect eight different objects before you could operate the door switch. Graphic was alright, but the music/sound track was awful.
I enjoyed my adventure on a pirate ship and an island. Puzzles weren't straight forward and required some thinking to solve them. I would recommend some text clues on the screen so that players know where to hang and assemble items. The anagram was easy but it took time to rearrange the letters.
Graphic was nice. The boat chain looked like a decorative object to me. I tried it on the Queen and nothing happened. XD The side door was very difficult to spot. I only found it out from reading posts on a forum.
Some pointers for those who get stuck:
- Get the boat down to the water before heading off to the island.
- On the island, find a strange man a shell and a box of cigarettes.
- Back to the ship, use the black key on a side door on the deck.
- Find the key to the treasure box and escape.
This episode was still enjoyable although I missed the invisible grey key which had a very similar colour to the brick wall. Because of that, I headed back to the house thinking the character might want to have a rest. It didn't work, of course. Thanks to the walk through. Perhaps, you could consider recolouring the keys to golden or red.
Chicken drumsticks looked alright but the blue jelly and the florescent green broccoli were inedible.
I was stuck with a magic book after collecting six jewels. Then, I found out from the walk through I had to create a seven letter word and collect the last jewel. This wasn't given as a hint anywhere in the game, pff... Next, I had to put the jewels back to various holding slots inside the house. And all of a sudden, I discovered the hidden treasure (not sure what was it though).
I like that there was a space for typing note on the map so that I could type in clues and stuff.
Tools were well hidden. I had to go through different places and scan a few times before I got a crowbar, a screwdriver, and a hammer.
Clues were obvious and most puzzles were easy to solve except the safe and the piano. I knew I had to turn the pointer to different three numbers on the safe. However, I didn't know there was a left and right sequence until I read the walk through. Hint : L-R-L. For the piano, I tried the DECAF, but it didn't work. So, I rearranged the letters and got the flashlight which was only used once inside the chapel to find a key.
I had no idea why I had to collect purple orbs in order to buy the three items. Just hide them somewhere and let me find them. The purple orbs were pointless cos it didn't affect health or anything.
The area for exploration was quite big and some scenes looked very similar to each other. I felt a little lost and drew a route map on a piece of paper to help me navigate. I like that the music changed as one encountered a combat character, such as, the dark horseman, the crazy rabbit, and the huge spider.
The most annoying part of this episode was that the character relied too much on the house where he took a rest, recharge his energy and did a couple of other tasks. There was a lot of bush area along the way to the castle and berries could have been hidden there. Also, the candle shouldn't have gone off after lighting one torch on the wall.
When the character had put back all the jewels, I knew he would be curious to check the entrance of the castle. I chose to rest but the game didn't allow me till he went there. Well ...
At first, I didn't feel that it was a spooky episode when exploring around the island in the day time. The beach and the forest scenes looked so familiar. Reusing a lot of old graphic somehow made this game less appealing.
After I crossed the river, I was grateful to see the change in the atmosphere. The scary flower, the hoody guy (to be honest, I wouldn't go on a boat with him), and an abandoned house were good and new elements for the story.
Wow, I almost got tricked that Kevin was going to spend a relaxing evening at the theater. It turned out he had to help solve a case in the old times. Although the majority of graphic was in black and white, the game still looked cool to me.
About the game play, I was stuck with a cup for quite some time and almost wanted to watch the walk through. Then, I thought I would try this last idea and it worked. The seat was put there for a purpose. :P After I got the money, the rest of the puzzles weren't too difficult for me. Trials and errors, that's how I did it.
I like the introductory movie when you saw Falcyon flying through the space. Nanoslaves were easy to take down.
Dr R's computer was hard to crack and required real quick motor reaction. It took me many trials and errors before I could access the information. Other terminals were easy to handle, but I didn't know that I had to input the numerical difference of two numbers until I read the walk through.
I wonder if Venus was the little girl's mom and hence, the main character's wife. A similar story to Underworld : awakening.
